Having a regular poop schedule is one of the most important measures of health.

Poop contains all types of waste, microorganisms, and toxins that our body has removed from our cells, tissues, and organs.
However, when you have a condition that slows the elimination of feces from the body, like constipation, you increase the risk of reabsorbing those same toxins right back into circulation. This may lead to inflammation of our cells, tissues, and organs.
Of course, we DO NOT want that!
One technique that can help improve the bowel pattern is intentional breathing. It helps you to be present while on the toilet and effectively get rid of poop so you aren't increasing your risk of getting "backed up".
Breathe Out Poop Exercise
When sitting on the toilet, visualize breathing your poop out.
Inhale and push out your abdomen and push down your pelvic floor for about 4 seconds.
Exhale and draw your abdomen in and breathe the poop down.
Repeat as necessary. Avoid pushing hard.
This method is similar to diaphragmatic breathing, so you are able to rest your nervous system and activate the parasympathetic nervous system which will send signals throughout your body to remind you that you are not in danger and you can relax!
I recommend doing this method of breathing during every poop and pee to help you remind your body to relax during these natural processes.
When you make things like this a habit, you are teaching your body to not fight against itself and you will likely start to notice many benefits.
I also challenge you to not only do this breathing while toileting but also throughout your day. Set a reminder on your phone for every couple of hours or so and practice it for 2-4 minutes each time.
Remember every little thing counts because eventually it will add up.
Happy healing,
Mary
