Why I Am Taking a Sabbatical from Seeing Patients in My Own Practice

Hey everyone, I wanted to take a moment to share something important with you. After a lot of reflection, I’ve decided to take a 1-2 year sabbatical from seeing patients within my own business. This isn’t goodbye—it’s more like a necessary pause so I can grow, learn, and come back even stronger.

Why I’m Taking a Step Back

For the past few years, I’ve poured everything into Rooted Vigor (this name is updating soon), blending integrative and natural medicine with conventional understanding. But I’ve realized that I need more time to refine my approach. There’s so much I want to learn—especially when it comes to balancing medication management, medication reversal, and natural healing. I want to take a deeper dive into how to integrate these elements seamlessly and ensure that I’m providing the most effective and sustainable care possible.

Being Real About the Business Side

Now, let’s be real—this business has been profitable, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. But at this stage, maintaining that level of success requires more energy and time than I can currently give without burning out. Running a practice goes far beyond patient care—it involves managing operations, marketing, patient education, and staying ahead in integrative medicine. I want to ensure that when I return, I’m not just sustaining a practice but thriving within it, offering services that are both impactful and aligned with my patients’ needs. This break will give me the time to refine my approach, develop new strategies, and create a business model that allows me to serve in a way that is both fulfilling and sustainable.

What I’ll Be Doing Instead

Another major focus during this time will be homesteading and farming. This year, I plan to fully embrace a more self-sufficient lifestyle—growing our own food, learning sustainable practices, and integrating these principles into our daily lives.

Along with that, homeschooling will be a big part of my journey, allowing me to provide my children with a deeply rooted and intentional education while working from home. This shift aligns with my mission of holistic living, and I look forward to sharing insights and lessons along the way.

So what’s next? I’ll be working with other telehealth organizations to gain fresh insights, new skills, and a broader perspective on patient care.

I’ll also be focusing on creating more resources and educational content that will still be available on my website.

I know many of you rely on Rooted Vigor for guidance, and I want to make sure that support doesn’t disappear. Current and previous clients can always reach out with questions, and I’ll do my best to provide guidance where I can during this transition. I’ll be doubling down on video education—sharing tips, insights, and actionable steps to help you on your health journey. If you want a more intimate look into this journey and first access to new content, be sure to subscribe to stay in the loop!

What’s Coming Next?

This isn’t the end—just a new chapter. When I return, Rooted Vigor will have new offerings, better strategies, and an even stronger foundation. I’m beyond excited for what’s ahead, and I can’t wait to bring back everything I learn to better serve you.

With that being said, you may notice that Rooted Vigor branding will be taking a shift! Starting with the name. This will be announced soon!

Thank you for being here and for supporting me on this journey. If you haven’t already, make sure to subscribe to stay connected and get exclusive updates. I’ll see you soon—with so much more in store!
